Q. Is there
a dress code?
A. Yes, the University Club's dress code for lunch and breakfast
is business casual, no blue jeans or shorts allowed at dinner, and
jackets are required for men. Ties are optional.
Q. Where
do I park?
A. Complimentary parking is available in the American Tower
Garage adjacent to the Remington Suite Hotel. The University Club
complementary valet parking is available every Friday and Saturday
evening and during Special events.
Q. Where
are you located?
A. We are located at 401 Market Street, in the American Towers
Building in downtown Shreveport, LA. We are on the corner of Travis
and Market Street.
Q.
What are your hours of operation?
A. We serve a breakfast for you and your guest from 7:00
- 9:30 am Monday through Friday. Lunch is served from 11:30 am to
2:00 pm Monday through Friday. Dinner service is from 6:30 pm to
10:00 pm Wednesday through Saturday. The Club is closed on Sunday.
Q. What
type of menu do you have?
A. Our menus are created and printed quarterly to ensure
freshness and the best variety of seasonal products. You will always
find a wide variety of fresh seafood, poultry and meat selections.
Q. Are reservations
required?
A. Reservations are not required, but strongly suggested
at lunch so that we may serve you the very best that we can. Reservations
are required for dinner.

Q. Is there
a view from the banquet rooms?
A. The University Club offers a breath-taking view of the
Shreveport/Bossier Skyline and the Red River.
Q. What
types of events can the Club Accommodate?
A. The University Club can accommodate any business or social
event, including executive meetings, wedding receptions, rehearsal
dinners, and recognition luncheons.
Q. Do I
have to be a Member to host a corporate or social event at the Club?
A. No, however non-Members fees will apply. Please contact
the Catering Department for the fee structure.
Q. Are there
food and beverage minimums?
A. Yes, food and beverage minimums apply, particularly in
the evening and on weekends. The minimums are based on time of day
and number of guests. All minimums are quoted prior to tax and gratuity.
Q. Can I
bring in my own food?
A. All food and beverage is provided by the University Club.
The only exception made is for wedding cakes.

Membership
Q. How do
I join the University Club?
A. Membership at the University Club is available through
invitation of a current member. The sponsorship of a current member
in good standing is required for the membership committee to act
upon a request for membership. The membership director can help
facilitate your membership request.
Q. What
is the difference between a corporate and a resident membership?
A. Both enjoy the same club benefits and have the same initiation
deposit fees and dues paying privileges. A resident membership is
personally owned and is non-transferable. A corporate owned membership
allows the corporation to change its member designee subject to
the approval of the club's membership committee and payment of a
change of designee fee.
Q. Can a
corporation have one membership and let several individuals use
its' membership?
A. No, each membership applies to one individual and their
spouse. Once again, a corporation may have more than one membership
and if the corporation owns 5 or more memberships each one receives
an initiation fee reduction.
Q. How many
members belong to the University Club?
A. The University Club is proud to have over 1000 members.
Q. Can my
guest use the University Club without me?
A. We understand that occasionally you need for a guest to
enjoy the University Club without you. Our board of governors has
approved 4 guest pass privileges per year (once per quarter). Please
contact the membership director for your quarterly guest card.
Q. Is there

Q. Are there
other clubs I can use when I travel?
A. Yes! In fact, all members enjoy full privileges at more
than 300 participating associate and affiliate clubs located 50
miles or more from the club. These prestigious private clubs across
the United States and abroad include the finest country clubs, city
clubs and athletic clubs.
