The
University Club was formed in 1979 by a group of community leaders
that wanted something different. More than its planned fine cuisine,
more than the variety of amenities, the University Club offers to
its members an opportunity to create the tone and spirit, which
will make their Club unique. The facilities of the Club are various
and each area is designed to encourage a sense of camaraderie and
community.
The University Club occupies 12,000 square feet on the top floor of the American Towers building in the heart of downtown Shreveport. In the daytime a unique panoramic view of the Red River is a delight for members, while at night the lights of the Riverfront add breathtaking excitement to elegant dining. The elegant surroundings of the Red River provide the perfect setting for an a la carte breakfast, luncheon and dinner service. The Lounge is an ideal place for cocktails or after dinner coffee and liqueurs, with a beautiful view of the sunset in the evening hours. The Private Rooms lend themselves to every purpose from a family dinner to a Board of Governors meeting. The Club is open for breakfast and lunch each weekday and for dinner Wednesday through Saturday, with live entertainment for your enjoyment on Friday and Saturday nights. All members and their friends enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres and drink specials during Happy Hour Wednesday and Friday. Members and their spouses are encouraged to use the Club for business and more leisurely and social interest at breakfast, lunch and dinner. |

University Club has established a tradition of fine food and good
service throughout the cities of Shreveport and Bossier. A culinary
tradition has been established by Chefs experienced in the private
club tradition, dedicated to the grand cuisine, and committed to culinary
artistry. The club's social activities include international dinners, theme nights, as well as parties in connection with cultural events. The extra services that simplify life and save time are available at the University Club.
